Kara’s love of travel started at a young age, thanks to parents and grandparents who believed in seeing, touching, and tasting the flavors of the world. Kara earned a Biomedical Science degree from Texas A&M and was a middle school science teacher for many years. In May of 2022, Kara hung up her teaching hat and decided to chase her passion for travel, along with being a mother of three and the Mayor of her city. 

Kara and her husband Ben lived in Hawaii for 3.5 years while he was a Marine Helicopter Pilot. She extensively knows the Hawaiian Islands and loves to help people see her “second home.”   Additionally, she is passionate about Europe and can’t wait to help you explore castles, see the Alps, do a wine river cruise exploring some of the best wineries in the world, galavant around to the Christmas markets, hunt for truffles in France, or relax on the Amalfi coast. A vacation is the best form of education, and exploring different cultures, foods, historical sites, and geographic wonders is a priceless experience.

Kara’s favorite past trips include a Tudor History tour of England, hiking Neuschwanstein Castle, a five-day trip to see four different Swiss Christmas markets, Falconry in Scotland, and ziplining in Whistler, Canada. She is excited to help you build your list of favorites!
